2022 Master Board Projects
- Lee County / FMB Civil Engineers / Master Board Representatives - Discussions involving installation of new storm water outfall from Estero Blvd to canal near manatee viewing area, with construction estimated to be completed February 2021. (COMPLETED)
- Santa Maria property seawall repair & reconstruction project - See dock cooperative page for more details. (ONGOING)
- Modification of road entryway - Due to the change of height of Estero Blvd. and the sidewalk in front of Santa Maria, it has become necessary to modify the entrance to our property. The board and the county have come to an agreement on modifying the grade of the entrance for a smoother transition to Estero Blvd., which will involve pouring of new cement pads, replacement of curbing and new asphalt. This should be completed sometime in February. (ONGOING)
- - New roadside landscaping - After final completion of the Estero Blvd project later this winter, the board will be accessing how to spend the $4,000 stipend that is being provided in exchange for the easement agreement. A landscape committee made up of various owners and perhaps an outside consultant will come up with a proposed relandscaping plan for the area along the sidewalk in front of our property. (PROPOSED)
- New Landscaping stone - The board has determined that there is a need to freshen up the landscaping stone around the buildings and bushes and will be working with our landscaping company to bring in and spread several cubic yards of stone to complete the project. (ONGOING)
- New Pool Fencing and Gates - A wind storm in January 2022 caused a Royal Palm to fall and crush a section of the pool fence. In researching getting it repaired, it was determined that this original pool fencing is now "out of code", and contractors cannot replace just the damaged section but the entire fencing. In addition, the gates were determined to also be "out of code". So bids are now being solicited for an entire new fence and gate system for the pool area. This project will likely begin during the spring and take 1-2 weeks to complete. (ONGOING)
